Sharryn Aiken
Sharryn Aiken is an assistant professor in the faculty of law at Queen's University where she teaches immigration and refugee law, administrative law, and international human rights. Formerly a practicing lawyer, she has appeared before the Supreme Court of Canada in a number of precedent-setting refugee cases, including Suresh v. Minister of Citizenship and Immigration. Prof. Aiken is a past president of the Canadian Council for Refugees and presently serves as editor-in-chief of Refuge, an interdisciplinary journal on forced migration.
