SpainThis National Site collects leading decisions from Spain, which have been very generously provided by EL DERECHO publishers. The National Coordinators for Spain are: Luis PeralLuis Peral holds a Ph.D. in Law, a Master of Laws (European Union), a M.A. in Law, a M.A. in Political Science - International Relations (Universities Complutense and Carlos III of Madrid), and a Diploma in English Law (University of Kent, Canterbury, UK). He currently works at the Center for Constitutional Studies in Madrid under the Ramón y Cajal Research Program of the Spanish Government, and is Senior Research Fellow (Global Governance Program) at FRIDE (Fundación para las Relaciones Internacionales y el Diálogo Exterior). Previously he taught Public International Law at the Law Faculty of the University Carlos III of Madrid. His research and publications, particularly 'Éxodos masivos, supervivencia y mantenimiento de la paz' (Trotta, 2001), are focused on International Refugee Law, Humanitarian Law, European Human Rights Law, and UN Peacekeeping. Among his recent activities, he has been a Visiting Research Scholar at the University of Michigan Law School, Lecturer at the International Institute of Humanitarian Law (Sanremo, Italy), and Member of the Steering Committee of the International Colloquium on Refugees and Post-Conflict Reconciliation.Contact Luis Peral. José Luis TerreroJosé Luis Terrero holds a Bachelor of Laws and is currently a PhD candidate. He has been both a Magistrate and a Specialist Magistrate in Administrative Law before his current position serving on the Spanish Special National Court (Administrative Chamber). In addition he has acted as a Legal Advisor to the Studies and Reports Committee of the Spanish General Council of the Judiciary, and served as Associate-Professor at the Universities Complutense of Madrid and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Lecturer at the Spanish and French Judicial Schools, and member of panels for the selection of new candidates for the Spanish Judiciary. Recently he has been Secretary of the Seminar for the Supreme Court Presidents of South America, Portugal and Philippines; and Consultant and Manager of the international legal program for cooperation between the Spanish General Council of the Judiciary and the Supreme Court of Arbitration of Russia.Contact José Luis Terrero.
